Mulled Apple Cider with Cranberries

Warm yourself with this lovely little drink that embraces the flavors of fall. Cranberries give the drink a festive red color that looks great in clear glass mugs or canning jars.

Mulled Apple Cider with Cranberry

Servings 5 cups

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar or honey
  • 2 tbsp brandy (omit or add as desired)
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Heat over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  • Remove cinnamon stick and cloves. Serve warm. Garnish with fresh cranberries and apple slices if desired.

Notes

You can substitute 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or 1/2 tsp allspice instead of cinnamon sticks.
